My Adventure Costa Rica runs small-group endurance journeys — trail running, gravel cycling, hiking — for six to eight athletes at a time. The site’s job is to show the journeys, explain how the operator works, and turn a reader into an enquiry.

What was built

A static site with the journeys, schools, bespoke trips, an about page, field notes, and a “plan a journey” enquiry, in English with Spanish wired in. Upcoming expeditions and prices sit on the home page where a reader looks first.

How

Astro 6, three production dependencies, and no application JavaScript: the pages are HTML and CSS, so there is nothing to hydrate and nothing to break. Images are converted at build time and served in modern formats.

Result

Two kilobytes of JavaScript on the home page, none of it the site’s own. Accessibility, best practices and SEO each score 100 in Lighthouse.
